My deepest sympathy to the family and to everyone who loved Rev. Ross. He was my very first Pastor and the one who baptized me so he has always been held in high regard to me. Family, you are in my prayers and I hope you will find comfort in the love of God.

On behalf of the Draper and Starks family; we offer our condolence to the family of Pastor Jay Ross. We will always remember his teaching and the service he rendered at the Siloam Missionary Baptist Church. He has earned the privilege of resting from his labor here on earth. Heaven will gain another soldier. He loved to drill us with the song "We are Soldiers in the Army".

Uncle Jay was married to my Auntie Catherine Cartwright better known as Aunt Kat. Even though we didn't talk very much or see each other, he remained a huge part of my life, as well as my Granddaddy Clemon Blakes life. He was a very kind and loving man. I only wish I would've kept up with him more often..fly high Uncle Jay and tell Aunt Kat I said hello and my grandaddy...

I remember Rev. Ross from Anadarko Morning Star Baptist Church. His ministry continued for a very long time here in OKC. He has influenced many pastors. One of them was my uncle Rev. Joe D. Burnley. An outstanding Christian Legacy left for all.

God knows your heartache and shares your grief. Sorry to hear about your loss. I hope for the time when we will see our loved ones again, for Jehovah God promises at John 5:28,29 that we can have a real hope of being reunited with our dead loved ones. At Psalm 34:18 is so refreshing it says, " Jehovah is close to the broken-hearted, He saves those who are crushed in spirit." How refreshing to know that God feels close to those that are crushed in spirit, he saves. Knowing that our God does hear our prayers shows that He wants us to speak to him from our hearts. So He will hear and comfort you.
