The promises God made are all true.Dear Family, my deepest sympathy at the death of your loved one. You can however, take a measure of comfort in knowing that the God of tender mercy has promised a resurrection of the dead. In the Bible book of Revelation 21:4 He says. “And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will morning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”a

It was my honor and privilege to have had Dr. Walker as a colleague and friend for two decades while at the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Time and geography took us away from one another. I remember our last conversation during a lunch meeting of the "Regents Retired Black Caucus". I was advocating Hillary and Wilbur and the others were advocating Obama. Wilbur was a resource of information and insight into our tasks that I consulted many many times. I am saddened that he is no longer here somewhere in the world still making a difference as he did all of his life.
