In Recognition of Lenora Wilson - July 3, 2012 It was back in the day when I would walk into a room five minutes behind my ego, when I met a young lady named Lenora, as I followed my ego into the home of whom would later become my Sister in Law in 1977. My brother Hurlin / (Harold Wilson) introduced me to the lady that was poised to bring stability back into his life for the sake of family. Well it was at that very moment of being introduced, that a lightness came over me, as it was the way she greeted me “Hi Wesley, it’s nice to meet you, I’ve heard so much about you, come on in and make yourself at home”. It was the smile and the ever lasting tone that simply and pleasantly allowed me to exhale when ever I was in her presence. Needless to say that over the years I begin to refer to her as Lee, and then Ms. Lee because of the warmth; poise; stability, and devotion to family, that she always greeted me with. Now as we all gather here today to pay homage to such a wonderful daughter; sister; mother; wife; grandmother; family member and friend, we each have our own precious memories of Lenora. However, I say this to my nieces Carolyn, Rocita; Laronda. And Tina ‘ Having begun in the spirit, you are now to be made perfect by the flesh. The passion for setting people right itself is a comfort within yourself”. As you are aware your mother exhibited a path of love and devotion, “Which is the Path of self surrender and dedication of all one’s resources to attain the ultimate Reality, and in this path love became the Lord of Life for Ms. Lee, and motivated her whole being toward Divinity. Therefore I will conclude with these thoughts. For ye have been called unto Liberty; use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. For the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, and faith. This is Lenora If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit, Galatians 5 verses 13; 14; 22 & 25. With this being said, we pray that you will continue to honor your Mother Lenora Wilson in her devoted spirit to you and your respective Families.. Amen Wesley Gresham and the Gresham Family
