I was so sorry to hear the passing of "Miss" Jessie. Our family lived next to the Jessies, and she became a "grandmother figure to the entire Douglas family. She really was a grandmother to the entire block on Terry and 45th. My heart just goes out to you all at this time. Cheri(Green) wanted to also express her sympathies as well. God Bless you all during this difficult time.

A very special and dear lady to me. She always made me smile when she would call me her girl. She loved seeing me In my majorette uniform, and would say "March for me baby", She would say I just love to see u March. I shall remember her just the way I always seen her. My condolences to you Kelvin, and Tim and Family. I love you all.

My heart is heavy since hearing of Aunt Pee's passing. I grew up with her and Brother Jessie at the old Mt. Olive Baptist church from 5 yrs old until I was 29. She saw me thru all my milestones. We sang tenor together / got in trouble for talking in choir practice. I moved to Houston in 1979. But never forgot about her, kept up about her thru my sister Candy Murrell. My condolences to you in the loss of this treasure. My God continue to lift you up and hold you in the palms of his mighty hands during this most difficult time. He is all that you need. Trust and lean on him. Love always
