He was a senior and I was in the 7th grade when he tutored me in clarinet. At my first challenge in high school band, after I had finished playing, the whole room was quiet. Then Koehler stood up, pointed at me, and exclaimed " I taught her how to do that!" He was a kind and talented person, and I know he will be missed by many.
