To hear Coach Jones voice after all these years still makes me smile! I recall many times the school bus breaking down on our way to basketball games or track meets and us 5-6 girls would pack in the car to get to the game and the conversations we had were priceless. He would talk about his baseball days, fishing, pink elephants, and his old beat up blue truck to name a few things we talked about. One could tell he really cared about each one of us and knew how to bring the best out of us even if that meant running a few extra suicides for practice. I recall us messing with him at school on the chalk board, we would write an "a" after all of his r's. He would just shake his head at us. I can still hear his laugh which was very contagious. Though he was not one you wanted to get a swat from in middle school, haha. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. May you find peace that surpasses all understanding.

To the Jones family, from your childhood neighbor & friend. We always seemed closer than just neighbors. Thomas was my friend & also my brother in Christ. We had many conversations about God & His goodness. He told me about his health issues but I didn't see it changing his disposition nor his outlook on life & his future. One thing that impressed me the most was back when I'd visit his dad, Mr. Moses Jones in his latter yrs, Thomas was always at his house helping take care of him,the house & the yard. A fun loving, kind & thoughtful man who loved his wife, children & family. The beauty of a great loss is that those who died in Christ are just beginning to fully live. We are here but for a moment in the land of the dying, passing through, glorifying God as He walks with us,guiding us back home where we'll receive our reward & live eternally w/Him. To hear those seven words from Jesus ",Well Done, Thy Good And Faithful Servant", is just PRICELESS. May we all strive to have that amazing moment in the Presence of The King of Kings & Lord of Lords. I love you all Jones family & I'm praying for you.
