Carol and I were born a month apart. I have many memories of my friend, Carol, who had beautiful dimples when smiling and an extraordinary inner beauty. We learned about God’s Word at Bethlehem Baptist Church. We attended Dunbar Elementary School - always buying candy and pickles after school. As young Pauls Valley girls, we had fun playing jacks, hopscotch, jumping rope and baseball. As we grew up as teenagers, we had fun dancing, dating and experiencing the milestones of proms and PVHS graduation. As teenagers, Carol and I also worked at Garvin County Courthouse. As adults, we lived in different states and never lost our friendship. We text Happy Birthday wishes to each other every year. I will miss Carol greatly. May Carol rest in peace with our Heavenly Father. May God shower Carol’s family with His love, comfort, strength and peace.
