My thoughts and prayers are extended to all William’s friends and associates, especially the DHS Class of ‘67 (and in particular my brother, Wallace). Although William was an only child, he was loved by so many. Many knew his mother, Mrs. Freddie Cooper, an accomplished musician. Thus, William became a musician as well, serving as an organist at many churches across the city. May William Rest In Peace.

My friend since we met at Truman Elementary. He was supportive as I was teased in music class. I last visited him in the nursing home as we reminisce about piano recitals and Mrs. Cooper. I thank God for Wallace Johnson and other classmates and friends in his life, now celebrating the life of William Walter Wray with dignity.
