On February 20, 1967, a son was born to Verlia Jean Bowie and Carey Morrow. She named him Stanley Lamar Bowie. He was born in Canadian, Oklahoma. Stanley attended Canadian Public Schools for a while. Later the family moved to Spencer, Oklahoma. While there, he attended Telstar Elementary School in MWC, Oklahoma. They moved to Oklahoma City where he attended Douglas High School. Stanley loved riding motorcycles and he loved his Chevy pickup. He listened to a variety of music and drank plenty of Dr. Peppers. He worked a few jobs in his lifetime. His last job was at Locke Supply where he was employed for several years until his death. After a battle with cancer, the Lord called him home to rest. He leaves behind to mourn his death a beloved brother Alfred (Barbara) Riley. He also leaves three other siblings: Montenette Walters, James Williams & Debra. Three maternal aunts; Linda Carter of KC, MO, Stella Munn of Del City, OK & Jackie Walton of OKC, OK and a great number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also, a son, Dravon Bowie. Stanley was proceeded in death by both parents. Stanley will truly be missed by all, especially by we that are his family. We thank God for the time that He allowed us to spend with him. Rest in peace my beloved. Gone but not forgotten.
