I had the pleasure of working with Kim at the OU Children’s GI clinic. I was the manager, she and Tonya owned my front desk. Kim had the ability to connect with the patients and their families because of her own journey with health issues, clinics and hospitals. Kim was a fighter, I can remember her being wheeled down to the ER during clinic and then showing up to work within a day or so…as sick or tired as she was she never wanted to give up. Kim was a friend to many and her smile was infectious.
I wouldn’t be honest if I didn’t say she had a mischievous side to her as well…many times I would make cookies for the clinic staff, I’d leave them in the break room and they would go fast…it didn’t take long for me to learn that Kim would take a few extra and SELL them to Tonya when she got there for a dollar! If you ever wanted a laugh you only needed to sit at our front desk with those two! She was so funny, she was a mess and I loved her dearly.
I know God puts people in our lives for a reason, Kim was a very special lady that was blessed with a very special mother. Over the years Ella has reached out to me just to see how I was doing, her messages have always been timely and uplifting and never received without a pause to think of a fond memory of her beautiful daughter.

Seldom do you meet a person who is strong, yet gentle - fierce, yet kind – and determined, yet patient. Kim was all of that and so much more - and those who knew her best might even add independent, strong willed, and possibly even stubborn. (wait for a little chuckle).
But there are several things about Kim no one can dispute. She loved the Lord, she loved her family, and she loved everyone of us who is present here today and so many more. Her heart had ample room to love each of us.
Even when Kim did not feel her best, she never complained. She went about her daily activities, doing the things she wanted and the things she needed to do. She showed up - and did it all.
We will miss her physical presence but we know to be absent from the body is to present with the Lord. And surely if we could see her now, with our Lord in Heaven, we would not want her to leave His side to return to be here with us. Kim is just fine – know that.
So, as we grieve and mourn the passing of our friend and loved one, let us support one another and pray for each other. Although I am not with you today, I will be with you soon and you are always in my thoughts and prayers. I love you all very much and may God always bless and keep you. - Angela

I am heartbroken but relieved that Kim is no longer in pain and discomfort. Kim is rejoicing and resting with our God! My Mother raised us with a spirit of resilience that my sister adopted and epitomized in the way she lived her life. Kim was able to accomplish so much in spite of any ailments and lived her life with courage, dignity, respectability, and most of all…LOVE! My heartfelt condolences to all of Kim's family... I had the pleasure of working with Kim at the OU Children’s GI clinic. I was the manager, she and Tonya owned my front desk. Kim had the ability to connect with the patients and their families because of her own journey with health issues, clinics and hospitals. Kim was a fighter, I can remember her being wheeled down to the ER during clinic and then showing up to work within a day or so…as sick or tired as she was she never wanted to give up. Kim was a friend to many and her smile was infectious. I wouldn’t be honest if I didn’t say she had a mischievous side to her as well…many times I would make cookies for the clinic staff, I’d leave them in the break room and they would go fast…it didn’t take long for me to learn that Kim would take a few extra and SELL them to Tonya when she got there for a dollar! If you ever wanted a laugh you only needed to sit at our front desk with those two! She was so funny, she was a mess and I loved her dearly. I know God puts people in our lives for a reason, Kim was a very special lady that was blessed with a very special mother. Over the years Ella has reached out to me just to see how I was doing, her messages have always been timely and uplifting and never received without a pause to think of a fond memory of her beautiful daughter. Kim was all of that and so much more - and those who knew her best might even add independent, strong willed, and possibly even stubborn. (wait for a little chuckle). But there are several things about Kim no one can dispute. She loved the Lord, she loved her family, and she loved everyone of us who is present here today and so many more. "It takes a village" I am so grateful that God allowed me to be the one to nurture and raise this beautiful soul however, the village played a major role in this process.
