Opal Childs was such a lovely, vibrant and effervescent lady who had a love for people and life. Opal was a great friend to the McDaniel family as she would talk to our mom and dad on the phone for hours at a time reminiscing about both her childhood and adult life. Opal had a vivid and colorful memory of her childhood and she enjoyed telling and retelling her stories to all visitors to her home. Opal was four years older than our dad and she would often recite his first Easter speech when he was four years old. We relished being in her company to the very end of her life and we will miss her dearly! RIP! McDaniel family
