My Aunt Joan was a second mother, she was a friend and confidant. She always had the biggest smile and she could fill a room with her laughter. I would call her from wherever I was living; and she would encourage and advise me. I remember a few times she convinced me not to quit my job!! lolol I could talk to her about anything!! But most of all I knew she loved me with all her heart….. As a child, the memories of going to Aunty’s house meant there was going to be some good food and dessert; and as much as I wanted lol! She was my favorite Aunty; I would whisper it in her ear, whenever we shared a hug and it would make her laugh. It was our secret. Now she’ll be one of my favorite angels….watching over me. Cousins I know your hearts are broken right now and I’m so so sorry she is gone. But, I see a little bit of Aunty in you all.
