Brenda Jean Masters, 73, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024. Born in Long Beach, California, to William and Dorothy Oliver, Brenda was a devoted daughter who cared for and loved her parents very much.
Brenda was the mother of six children: Christine Hollett, Jessica Wright, William Brown III, Natalie Bruno, Aaron Higgins, and Joshua Higgins. She was also the grandmother of Andrea, Wylie, Seth, Liam, Noah, Lilliana, Chloe, Hayden, Holter, Elijah, Atlas, and Roman, and the sister of Patricia Jones and Bill Oliver.
While Brenda faced challenges in her life, she remained a resilient spirit and found joy in her relationship with God. She was loved by her longtime companion, the late Gerald Paul Abbott, with whom she shared many meaningful years.
Brenda’s greatest legacy is the beautiful family she created—a tapestry of children and grandchildren who would not be here without her, each contributing their own amazing gifts to the world. Though life wasn’t always easy, her story reminds us of the importance of compassion and the capacity for love within every family.
