Thelma Rex My heart is heavy as I reflect on the impact you have made on my family's life. You have always been there as far as I can remember. You made amazing Barbie Doll clothes from scrap materials, and it was important for me to share my A's and B's that I accomplished in school with you. When my life seemed out of control, I could count on your smile, laughter and peaceful spirit to make it right. My deepest condolences, you will be truly missed.

My sincere condolences to the Rex family. I will truly miss my colleague and good friend Thelma. I had the privilege of knowing Thelma for almost 50 years and worked with her 10 years in a the field of Deaf Education. Thelma was a gifted educator and had a positive impact on so many. She was a mentor, and a trailblazer in the development of the career education program for the Deaf . She loved her family, was a shining example of dedication, kindness and humor and she approached every educational challenge as an opportunity to improve programs and student learning…. She did it with grace and humility.” “I’ll never forget the special times of our sisterhood retreats at Hot Springs, AR. Four deaf educators retreating annually, for over 20 years, to enjoy the commarradie and reminisce about our common career paths. These are the moments that will continue to remind me of our special friendships and how Thelma brought so much laughter to our lives. “While Thelma is no longer with us, her influence lives on—in the standards she set for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in the Oklahoma. To Thelma’s family and loved ones, please know that Thelma made a difference in our lives, and her memory will forever remain in our hearts. Blessings
