God knows your heartache and shares your grief. For the family I am so very sorry for your loss. Please take a little comfort in the promise God makes at Rev. 21:4 where he will wipe away all tears and death will be no more neither will there be any more pain and sorrow. There is also the hope of a resurrection at Acts 24:15. Please know that you are in my prayers.
