To Debra, Vanessa & the Thurman family, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Though now I've seen many of my dad's close friends & relatives leave this earth, I've had to learn that the death of a child of God is "their" best day ever! When James Thurman (we called him by his whole name) came by to visit our parent's they were so glad to see him. But the most important thing I'll always remember about him is, he validated children with his wonderful smile, acknowledgements & conversations with us. He was a very intelligent man, yet most humble. I will always remember his kind & gentle spirit as well. Now that he is in Heaven he & daddy can have all the happy conversations they desire for all eternity. I know he did a lot of great things in life like taking great care of his family, but he also did a great job of "finishing well." Please know that The James Jones family loves you all & we're praying for you.
