He was my granddaddy and I loved him greatly. He always had a smile on his face no matter how he was feeling. He would offer his help any way he could and he maintained a positive attitude throughout his life. He taught us to be hard working citizens and stressed the importance of making the right choices in life. From him I learned how to be a productive employee as he was never the type to be lazy and he valued the act of working. He was a hardworking man who took pleasure in taking care of his family. He, like us all, wasn't perfect. But he always tried to do the right thing and teach us the same. My grandpa was a vibrant, humble soul. I cant believe he's gone, i keep expecting him to walk in my grandma's house and ask 'What's for dinner?' His light will live on inside of you and me forever, until it is our time to see him again...

Betty Jo. there are no words that can express the discomfort of the lost of a love one, however there is a Word: Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words God bless and strengthen you and family. David Johnson (Class of 56)

To the Duncan family, the man in your life, from my perspective, posessed the kind of heart which was like a fountain of gladness, making everything in its vicinity to freshen into smiles. There are treasures laid up in the heart.--treasures of charity, piety, temperance, and soberness. These treasures a man takes with him beyond death when he leaves this world. Heaven's the perfection of all that can be said or thought--riches, delight, harmony, health, beauty; and all these not subject to the waste of time, but in their height eternal. The invitation he received July 24; his personal love letter he, gloriously accepted. I want to share something that I once read (thinking how he made me laugh) on his reaching heaven..."If I ever reach heaven I expect to find three wonders there; first, to meet some I had not thought to see there; second, to miss some I had expected to see there; and third, the greatest wonder of all, to find myself there." Everlasting life to you sir! We now strive to make it where you are!
